What is the Process for Porcelain Veneers?

Step 1: Consultation

At your consultation we will assess your teeth and find out what you’d like to change about your smile. We’ll discuss the benefits of porcelain veneers and make sure that it’s the right treatment for you.

Step 2: First Appointment

We will begin by preparing your tooth. This involves gently filing your tooth to allow the porcelain veneers to fit your tooth. This is necessary to ensure that the veneers will fit properly and look natural. It is completely painless.

Step 3: Impressions

Next, we will take impressions of your teeth which will be sent to our dental laboratory where your bespoke porcelain veneers will be made. Whilst this is happening, you will be fitted with temporary veneers.

Step 4: Final Appointment

Your bespoke veneers will be carefully positioned on your teeth to ensure that they look natural and blend in with the surrounding teeth. We will then use a special light to harden the adhesive, which will secure the veneers in place.

Depending on how many veneers you have, and your personal circumstances, we can usually complete your treatment in only a few sessions.
